Run it yourself.

Requires Rust 1.96+
cargo install --git https://github.com/kyrylo/owlytics --locked
Set your password & start

Choose a password with at least 12 characters (Bash/Zsh):

printf 'Owner password: '
read -r -s owlytics_password
export OWLYTICS_PASSWORD_HASH="$(printf '%s' "$owlytics_password" | owlytics hash-password)"
unset owlytics_password
owlytics

Open localhost:3000, sign in, and add your website. Save the password hash in your service’s environment for restarts.

Also runs with Docker or Kamal.

Hey there,

I like Plausible. A few useful numbers, a clear dashboard, then back to making things.

But running it on my own server took more RAM than I wanted to give my analytics. So I built Owlytics.

Rust and SQLite keep it to one executable and one database file. Visitors, pages, referrers. No cookies or stored raw IPs. Your Plausible history can come with you.

Like Telebugs, I made it for my own projects. It’s open source under MIT, ready for yours.
